I think that execution boils down to doing the right things right. Firstly everyone needs to be aligned around what the right things are...if there is not clarity, conherence and commitment at all levels of the organization - execution will fail. If you try to do too much, there will be overwhelm and resistance, if the execution is poorly implemented (half-hearted or bad quality) then the strategy will fail.
